Hereford Cathedral Junior School raise funds for 737 Challenge

Richard Parks visited Hereford Cathedral Junior School for the third time yesterday and was presented with a fantastic cheque for £1609.76 towards the 737 Challenge, which is raising funds in aid of Marie Curie Cancer Care.
Richard arrived at Hereford Cathedral Junior School armed with plenty of climbing equipment, tents and expedition clothing and the children and teachers got involved and had plenty of fun during an assembly that Richard took.
It was a fantastic morning at the school who have shown tremendous support for Richard’s challenge, Richard stated; “To raise over £1600 is just awesome. The children are amazing and so enthusiastic about the challenge. They had drawn pictures for me which made my day and it’s the little things like this that remind me why I am taking on the challenge, the effort that everyone has gone to in supporting me at the school is very humbling and inspiringâ€.
Headmaster of Hereford Cathedral Junior School Tim Wheeler added; “We are all amazed by the ‘awesome’ challenge ahead of Richard and will be following him every step of the way. From the first moment he came to the school, the children have responded to the challenge and been keen to support Richard by raising money for Marie Curie Cancer Care. Hereford Cathedral Junior School wishes Richard every success."
Richard has another appearance to make tonight. Richard will be a guest speaker at the Cardiff Ambassadors Gala Dinner at National Museum Cardiff tonight where funds will be raised for his challenge.
